Maybe this will help someone during those "tight" times...
I just remembered something used to do, when I read someone on another list said they'd accidentally been charged twice for a service, so left the extra payment on account with the vet.
What I used to do monthy, I'd forward some money to my vet and ask them to keep it as a credit for me! It was a great way to make sure I had an emergency fund!
At the time I was dealing with 2 vets and they were both happy to do it. Keep in mind, it IS your money, so if you have to sometime, they are obligated to hand it back over to you.
I hope this helps someone!

Of course that assumes you have vets you trust! Both financially and in terms of critter care.

Yes, absolutely!!! I suppose you could get a receipt for each time you asked them to put $$ on your account. L.

That is an option. I once dealt with a vet so bad I reported him to NY State and got him in trouble; a big hassle for that creep. He has a bad reputation, and I should have asked around more for recommendations.
