Jenna looks like a golden, and NP is a dwarf? (?) Interesting black eyes on white fur. A little tannish around the head. Jenna reminds me of my late Cinnamon, whose photo is in my Memorial Gallery in my signature. Unfortunately, it is there. Only the deceased go there. Jenna looks very curious, and NP a little shy. Both ar elovely.

Thank you, DF. Yes, Jenna is a Golden, and N.P. is also a Syrian. He's a teddy-bear, and is mostly white, with a little cream colour around his head. He was quite young in that picture though, and still a little small. You've got their personalities right too! Jenna is very brave and curious. N.P. is still a little shy and timid, but he's coming around. There will be more pictures of them in time.

NP is a youngster. That threw me a bit. I clearly saw the color around his head. I wonder what color he is, technically.
When Rainy had her famous litter on 1/9/03, and I kept all the babies, each sibling had a different personality. It was quite interesting how different many were, outgoing active Zeb compared to timid shy Ebony. They lived 28 months, the oldest, and died within a week of each other. She never looked old; Zeb had dandruff at the end!
All are in the Memorial Gallery in my sig.

He is hard to describe... because he's so close to a Black-eyed-white.... yet he has that splash of cream. But when you look at pictures of black-eyed-creams, he looks nothing like them. So I'm confused too! I guess he is just special

He's definitely not picking up some schmutz or non-natural coloration from the litter?
I had a white gerb that sometimes was a very "dirty" white when she had been demolishing a lot of boxes.
Very handsome / pretty hams - I like the starkness of N.P.
Very rich coloration on Jenna - she has a rounded nose that looks very cute, almost a ratty sort of muzzle (and I mean that in a good way).

Thank you, Rasputin ;D
No...I don't think it's from the bedding. That's definately the colour around his face. Light creamy colour. He even has a tiny splash of it above his tail. So strange! (I'll try to caprture some of this detail in a subsequent photograph).
They're both sleeping soundly at the moment. Which is perfect, because I need the quiet study time!

Vanilla and Cotton, two white gerbs in with Molly, Polly's sister, had faded yellowish markings at first. I thought I could tell them apart that way, but the markings faded as they were externally caused. Found Molly in a Havahart trap one morning. She squeezed out as the top slid back as the wheel was used. Oh, spotted an agouti mouse in a dresser drawer a few hours ago!! Trap set.

Too smart for me. The trap was sprung this morning - but empty. She tripped it from the outside!

Crazy Critter! I hope you catch her! How are the agouti's doing anyways? Is it just the one on the loose?

Maybe. Hard to keep track.
I have two litters of fancy mice now. Cute white things with patches ranging from pale beinge to dark brown. Must take photos. The litters are about five days apart, and in the same bin. First bunch's eyes have just opened; other's have not.
Must sex in a week or so.
