Hey I just watched that film because of friend of mine recommended it. I didn't know it would be so bad, no offense Tom. The Fox and the Hound 2 looks okay. But there are so many Air Buds out there, sort of like there are a lot Jaws films. If you see it, let me know if you liked it, Hollie. And thanks for the suggestion for Chewie!

I meant the "Snow Queen", the classic by Hans Christian Andersen, NOT the "Ice Queen"!! I explained this in a PM.

Of course that assumes the hamster is actually INGESTING the cup and not just gnawing it.

Well, thanks though. I wasn't going to give it to Chewie anyway after everyone's response here.

Easy for you and Robin (since she was going to call). I don't want people thinking I'm stupid. Calling or writing in on a hamster, they would think I'm stupid. I guess that's why I don't raise my hand in school, too afraid to look dumb.

Exactly. If I cared what the stupid world thought I wouldn't love animals so much.

So...you guys aren't afraid? How do you get rid of that fear?

Alcohol. I guess I just put things in perspective - some things are really important, and others are important only in your imagination (and I don't mean fantasy stories). What some anonymous somebody thinks of me means nothing to me; what people I barely know think of me means almost nothing. Build up your self-confidence gradually. In less than a week it will be the anniversary of my mother's death. Last Summer I made my vicious landlord and his sociopath lying lawyers look like fools in front of a judge for harassing me. I did that alone. I can handle what needs to be handled, mentally or physically - and going to the gym 5-6 times a week takes care of the latter.

Yeah, but how does someone shy do that? I mean I know what's important in life and what isn't, but I still don't want people to think things. Sorry about your mother.

What do you care what some jerk you barely know thinks??
You know what to do - slowly build up your self-confidence by forcing yourself to do litle things that incrementally get to be bigger things, such as speaking in class.
I am surprised that volunteering stuff you do at the kennel, teaching other volunteers (new ones) hasn't helped in that regard.

I don't know, I guess I just want everyone to think I'm smart. I don't volunteer at the kennel, I work there. And I never wanted to train anyone, this is what I got from my boss Nicole, "Someone new is coming over and we want you to train them." Me: "Okay, why me?" "Because you're good at what you do and we trust you." Me: "Wow, thanks." I don't volunteer, they give me assignments and I do them without complaint.
