I said this in a post above about the pet stores: >> they also have no e-addy <<
I meant, they have MY e-addy, and that is how I learned about Caerbannog the rabbit, whose story is in the Rabbit forum or Animal Rescues.
I think the local store charged $595 for such as a Yorkie or Bichon Frise. But another breed I thought was no less rare was $295. I forget which. Their dog guy last year told me he could get a FS dog.
>> Just because you like the Finnish Spitz doesn't mean it's perfect for your life style. <<
You forgot that last year I posted here about taking the AKC "What is the Best Breed for You?" test, or whatever they call it - and the FS topped the list! I suppose that test is on their site; I have no time to search now.
BTW, the Harrier and some of those foxhounds I would have trouble telling apart. You too?

Well all breeders are different, some costs are low while others are sky rocket high!
Just because a test says it's right for you, may not always be correct. I would venture a Finnish Spitz would like to be in a yard and not housed up in a small apartment. I only meant that you have to think about the dog too; we have a townhouse, it'd be mean to keep an active dog like a Border Collie with us. I'm not meaning any disrespect. My Mom's friend has a Bernese Mt. Dog and even though they have a house with a big yard, they don't give him the much needed exercise, etc.
Foxhounds, yes, I have trouble with the American and English ones. They look alike. Harriers I can tell apart because they're smaller and I used to really love them, so I know what they look like. But for anyone else, yes I can see how they would be confusing.

Depends on how much time I spent outside with the FS getting him some exercise. This is not like a hyper BC who needs a job, but "walking" a FS would be more like trotting him! And less gym for me!
