Thanks you two.
Robin--the other fawn is fine so far, but Sara is going to move her in with the adults cause she says Lucky doesn't like being alone. I hope that goes well.

A few more that have passed are: Mama, Minnie, Browny, Moo Mouse (mice--Mama and Browny were my favorites), Rose-button quail, Oola-Bearded Dragon, Oregano-Hedgehog, some fish and hermit crabs. There is, however, good news. We rescued a Mustang named Cisco and he's getting better everyday and Benjamin, the Pigeon, will be released sometime in the Spring.

Two more went onto animal heaven, although I could've sworn there were three. First was a duckling that I called Ducky. He was very cute, but just didn't make it. The second was Rascal, a very old sheep that lived in Paws way before I came. He was in his teens and finally had to be put to sleep last week. So rest in peace to both of you. His mother is still living.

Interesting about Rascal. My Dion, Syrian, went way before his mom, Cinnamon (see sig gallery; both rescues). They were just too sick and feeble to go on, I assume? Photos are always appreciated. RIP. But they were lucky to find you all.

Rascal looked horrible; I even suggested they put him down before they did cause he couldn't get up to eat and just went to the bathroom where he lay, etc. He was an old guy that just never gave up, but his body did. Ducky just died because I heard young ducklings don't make it sometimes even though we did everything for him. For some reason he was breathing heavily and then just died. Respiratory problems probably. But they were lucky to find you all. ^Thanks.

Ande, a chinchilla I really didn't care for, died last week of old age. If you can believe it I hear he was 17yrs old!! What was really cool about Ande though was that he was white instead of the gray coloring of normal chinchillas. And a baby chick died that we released earlier last and Ebony died too, she was a Polish Chicken. Everyone forgot her name, so I called her Ebony. May they rest in peace.

Sorry to hear that. A white chinchie and a Polish chicken both must have looked nice.

RIP Ande and Ebony.
Have never seen a Polish Chicken. And I won't be able to see one now if I come to Paws. But they are very cool-looking.

Nice photos. Especially the chinchie. You ever feel the very soft fur or would he have bitten? Yes, you could visit Paws some day!

Three more animals died, seems like a lot are dying but most of them are old when I came. Now it's Peanut, our only female Peahen, she left behind two young that we're taking care of. Another chick died and one of my favorites died. E.T. went today, he had to be put down as the vet said he wasn't getting better. So rest in peace all of you and I'll miss you E.T.; you actually got me into liking reptiles a bit more, especially your species!

To answer an earlier question I didn't see, it's hard to pet a chicken as they keep moving on you, but I did pet Ebony's back one time. That'd be cool if you ever came to Paws, Robin! E.T. was a Uromastyx; this is what they looked like: www.exoticpetvet.com/images/Uromastyx%20Mali%20male%20web%20single%201.jpgAnd thanks you two for saying you're sorry. And on a happy note, I named a Peacock today, lol--I'm calling him Earl. *shrugs* ;D
