Significant fur loss, very dry skin, appearance of scabs, excessive drinking and eating, a slight odd unpleasant smell.
If you see this check the Rodent Health forum here on Rodent Retreat for the Cushings Disease thread. Your hamster MIGHT have it. (Usually Syrians, not dwarfs).

I just started a thread re: Cushings in a dwarf hamster in that section... Thanks for the info!

That's Meeks when I first got him back home (my mom had been looking after him while I was mid-move). I took him to the vet shortly after that picture was taken and he was diagnosed with CD. I can take more pictures to show you how he is now.

All the best to Meeks.

Is that fur loss on Meeks' flank/hip area? Hope he's doing well.

Remember, fur loss in CD is very significant and is not a mere "thinning". And the skin looks dry and scabby. See the long thread in the Rodent Health forum.
I hope for a Meeks update soon.

Aside from losing his hair, he seems in perfect health. He hasn't had any tumours or stressing from it yet. Thankfully he's still being a trooper and hanging in there.

Wow. That's good! If he really has CD it is slower moving than any of mine were.
