As in jirds, jerboas, degus, chinchillas, sugar gliders, what else?

The last two are not rodents.
Besides the Big Six (Syrians, dwarfs, gerbils, mice, rats, and guinea pigs), the most common rodent kept as a pet I believe is the degu. You can do a Search for degus on this site (see the bar at the top of the page) and find many threads on them.
I knew a person who had a duprassi, and a prairie dog (illegal in some places). Some people have kept squirrels which can be tamed, but which will inadvertently do some damage in your home owing to their needle-like claws. They are also illegal in some places.
Rabbits of course are not rodents.
Spiny mice I have discussed many times on this forum and I have many. I would list them separately from fancy tamed mice for many reasons (size, intelligence, longevity, etc), and Science considers them closer to gerbils than mice.
I can't think of any others. Someone??

I meant small and furries, not just rodents. But mostly rodents.

Oh, wow, I didn't know there was so much involved in keeping small, furry critters! I need to do research! (besides names of pet rodents that I think are rare)

Speaking of small and furries, my fellow admin, kain, posted photos of his small and furry. . . tarantulas! Check them out.

O.o, and as I mentioned earlier, I was joking...though I do want to know what kind of "other small&furries" people sometimes keep. I'll check out the tarantulas!

Sorry to dig up an old thread but I somehow missed this one!
Cavies are rodents?
I know people who keep ASFs as pets.
The rescue gets a lot of pack rats that people see, catch, and think are Chins. (how they get 'em confused, I'll never understand) Then we bring them to the wildlife rescue and they get re-released...

Oh yea. Natals. I had some; posted photos. Interesting but not tame. I have a photo of them also in my Memorial Gallery in my sig.
Rabbits are lagomorphs.
What did you think GPs were??

I know Rabbits aren't rodents, but for whatever reason I thought GP's and Cavies fell into another category... not really sure which though.
