We have recently mentioned this specific issue in other threads.
1. Rabbits use litter pans and like to hunker down on a clean floor to rest. GPs do not use litter pans and make the bedding messy; the bunny will not like it; worse, it may cause health problems eventually for the rabbit lying in that stuff, even if you clean more than normal.
2. An unneutered male rabbit will in due course try to mount and copulate with a GP, even a male. Neuter or spay the rabbit asap, regardless. The GP will not be happy being bothered like that, and the rabbit will be frustrated.
3. Monday I was at the vet's office; my rabbit had an operation (see other thread). I was specifically told a rabbit might possibly spread pasteurella (a disease) to a GP quickly killing the GP. Pasteurella will be very serious for the rabbit also, but it is slower moving.
So, it is very ill-advised to keep GPs and rabbits together. If one got sick as a result you'd feel very bad and guilty.
Get a second hand cage on Amazon.

Very wise of you! And please neuter or spay your bunny when young not only for a better personality but to avoid health problems (tumors, etc) as the rabbit gets older. See the Rabbit thread about Poppy who need an operation at a later age. Some city or state governments, and others, offer lower cost spays and neuters. Go online and Search for rabbit rescue groups. Rabbitsonline.com is also good.

That is not the major reason. I mentioned above the major reasons, although accidentally injury is indeed a fourth reason. It also would get too crowded.
