Sad news. As of 4/21/07, I noticed Lil Bit developed a bulge on his right side. This may be cancer. He was probably born just over a year ago. So he is not young but not that old. He had a nice run with people who cared for him, and saved him from the gutter and rain. How much longer he has is unknown., Such is how it is. Recently I lost Silkie, my favorite fancy mouse with gorgeous shiny fur. I will post more on him later, in another forum.

The bulge MAY be cancer but its normal for elders to get little bulges like that. (ot atleast thats what some book said...)

Last night, April 29th, 2007, Lil Bit passed away. I found him under his wheel. As you can see from this final photo of him, the tumor was growing. Best he passed quickly and painlessly. pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL19/924030/15915243/249445631.jpgI told his original rescuer, Marian, and she gave him her blessings. Lil Bit symbolized a lot of good things: will to live; who cruel some people are; and how caring others of us are. He is in tissue paper now in the freezer. He may be buried in the usual place in the cemetery where all my deceased pets get intered, or he may stay there. As I said, he is a symbol of some very nice things. RIP
