So the boyfriend and I were cleaning cages and thought we should spice her tank up a bit. (Have moved her to Rabbit's tank so she has more height as well as floor space) Here's the finished product! The colourful tubes burrow under the ground and then loop up to the hammock. You can sort of see her sitting behind the wheel. She's IN her food dish! So far she likes the new digs.

Looks good! Does she kick bedding in the wheel? It seems a little low to avoid bedding. They can hop up inches easily to a wheel.

Any bedding that gets in there gets flung out when she runs. I have it up that way (its supposed to be sitting on the side that runs up and the side that it's on has a support bar) but I piled up the Yesterday's News pellets over the bottom bar so that it doesn't rock and bang when she runs. I'm paranoid that she'll get herself caught between the curved bar and the straight bar... she likes to pounce off the wheel when it's still rocking back and forth. There's no lip left on the side of the tank to drill a hole through and hike the wheel up.

In have some without lips. Some critters in the past got up there and gnawed them off! As for getting caught. . . well, I found a white finch dead, caught somehow between some bars and the birdbath holder. The wings got in between the bars. Now I check carefully EVERY single time I get up.

Yeah, part of Rabbit's tail got caught in the side area of that exact wheel (which is why it's up on its side like that). I'm paranoid! But... better safe than sorry!

She seems to be liking it. I added an igloo underneath her hammock until she gets her snuggly house back.
