I had hoped someone would have answered this by now. I am tired; my cats are hungry. . . Campbells have furry feet and are a little bigger than Robos which I think are also a little more calm. I am sleepy and my cats are cryiong for food, so let me find a site. . . >>http://www.hamsterific.com/dwarfHamsters.cfm<< >>http://ezinearticles.com/?The-Four-Types-of-Dwarf-Hamsters&id=3913116<< >>http://exoticpets.about.com/b/2009/05/20/dwarf-hamsters.htm<< Check them out. Maybe Robin can add more. See the long thread she just posted on her hams.

The dorsal lines, and ever face shape shows the difference as well.

I am very sad today. Last night my Robo girls had to be separated. For about a week they have been sparring and I would break it up but last night was different. When I reached in the cage to break them up they didn't know I was there until I would grab one. The second I would let go they would go right back to fighting. Very intense. The picture that I posted that started this thread I called my inseparable girls, and they were til now. I am very sad for them and I hope they will be alright without each other. I have their cages butted together so they can atleast look at each other. Bummed out!

Oh, so sorry to hear this! Bummer indeed. I wonder what changed to make them intolerant of each other. Lucky you for being able to grab one at all. I MIGHT be able to grab Ping, but he would slip right out of my grasp like a slippery bar of soap! My hands are used to grasping Campbell's, and I know how much pressure to put on them to keep them in place, but the same grasp won't work for a Robo--it obviously needs to be tighter, and I don't have that practiced yet.
Anyway, I hope your girls adjust to their solo existences. Ping seems happy enough as king of his glass castle.

Thank you Robin. So far it seems as if both girls are doing fine. We made both aquariums look identical so the one that was removed feels like she is in the same home...almost. The food dish is different along with the water bottle and her wheel is a different color but it does'nt seem to bother her. I have both aquariums butted up against each other so they won't feel alone.

Lucky they didn't ball up and go at it seriously causing real injury. I saw it once long ago here; both survived. But sheeez they were at least as bad as gerbs. Once they start any fighting always separated at once and forever.. Good luck to them.
