Yes, that's progress indeed! Is this more than what they did when you had them the first time?

The cats stay out of the pen totally. They know I get angry. They are good cats. Cats leave rabbits alone usually. Must be a size thing. The birds are in another room. The rabbits do not need training as they are den animals who naturally poop in one place. GP's are no as the roam outside as wild cavies - why they are very hard to litter train. With rabbits it comes automatically. Just cleaned their pan an hour ago!

Wonder why. All of mine, including Caerbannog and the beloved Poppy, did.

Don't know. Bo, Cookie, and Thumper would always poop/pee outside their pens. It was easier to clean I thought, but Fawn would always go in her litter box, you could call it.
The threesome I would do every 2wks, Fawn? Every week! And boy did it smell. *holds nose*

I never noticed much rabbit smell. As I said, GPs did not use a litter box, had soft squishy poops, and I needed to clean their cage a lot! But mine now are outside the pen all the time and always go back to the litter pan.

We had to clean the GP cages every day. I hated that because that took up some time. Not too much, but enough where it was just like, "I want to get outside to feed those guys, but have to be stuck here with you."
I guess when you have your own GP it's different, cause I really didn't care for any of the ones at Paws.

That's too bad. I never felt bad towards them about it - the way wild cavies are. It was work, but the WHEEKING waking me up was annoying, and I had to move them out of the bedroom.

The GP at Paws never connected with me. They were just cool animals to me, whereas Tippy, the mini pony or even Scooter, the Chinchilla, they connected with me and I with them.

They all have individual personalities, of course.

Well of course. It could've also been that I'm not a fan of GP's. Their fur and bedding make me sniffle, so I didn't want to be around them too much. Maybe that's why I never developed a connection to them. Whereas with the rabbits, goats, etc I could.

>>that I'm not a fan of GP's<< Even though they have different personalities? Oh, I see, an ALLERGIC problem with their fur. Sorry about that.

On the farm I was allergic to everything!! I'm not kidding either, I was allergic to: all animal shavings (we would use this for the horse stalls too), straw, GP/Chinchilla/Rabbit fur, dust (that they used for baths), dust in the attic, and smoke on some employees.
Oh let's not forget the hay! Although I wouldn't sneeze from that, my arms got these weird red blotches on them every time I had to carry them. I carried a lot because all the animals loved hay and it was given to them two times a day (morning and evening).
So yeah....I didn't stay too long around the animals that were always in their pens like the smaller animals. If I took out one of the chinchillas, I had to stay a bit away from their cage. I think within time I grew immune to some of it, but not enough where I had to stop taking my pill.
But some animals, I'm just not a fan of period. No offense to anyone here who has these animals. I know each can have a terrific personality, it's just I'm not a fan of the animal itself for one reason or another.

I am not a fan of spiders and snakes. When I was a kid I had loads of allergies, and a little asthma, and I went bi-weekly for shots for an allergist that helped.

My father did that too, where he would visit the doctor every week for a shot. Thankfully all I need is a pill and my medahaler. I loathe spiders. I don't mind snakes anymore cause I had to handle them at Paws. The venomous ones, I'm staying away from.
