What a lovely active mouse he was - a shiny all black mouse; never feral. I must have had him a good three years. In the last year he lost a lot of fur and did not look well, but he still liked to perch on top of a small wicker bird house in his cage. Just found him dead a few days ago. As always, we do what we can, and he led a good life. He was my last mouse, other than the one totally feral mouse I mentioned. Must look for more; more spiny's too.

Aw, so sorry about Bennie. May he rest in peace. I tried looking up spiny mice on Petfinder for you, but I couldn't find any.

Play in peace, little Bennie. I'm on the lookout for spinys too.

Thanks. Also tame regular colored mice. Preferably females! Males do smell! (worst of any rodent).
