A pet store?? One nearby has big bins of food and seeds and such, mostly for birds. (?)

no nothing from those bins, those are nasty (god only knows what people have on their hands when they reach in there...EWW)
I'm taking about a bulk store, one of those places where you can buy like 50 rolls of toilet paper for like $20, lol.
Depends on where you are also, there may be no such thing in your area? (I'm in the united states.)

Never heard of anything like that here in Brooklyn, NY. I think that kind of store can be found in the hinterlands somewhere, according to legend! ;D

I wasn't sure where you were. So something like sams club and get huge bags of veggie mac pasta stuff, and other things, a large garbage can and a broom handle to mix it up. lol

yes, or I wouldn't give it to them It also helps keep their teeth down (naturaly eating foods and bruxing keeps their teeth down)

Though they do enjoy cooked pasta as well, But for my dry mix, I use dry (uncooked) pasta.

Any particular type of pasta? Linguini, penne, or cannelloni?

But I put veggie pasta (pasta that is supposed to be made out of/ taste like veggies) wacky mac pasta in their dry mix. (found in wal-mart, shaws, hannaford...etc...etc) lol

Ever see those Ronco TV infomercials with their giant noisy pasta maker? They pour all sorts of vegetable juices in the mix and turn out pasta in a rainbow of colors and flavors. I never buy pasta for me, but I will have to remember to see what the stores have for the crew.

I almost never eat refined carbos such as pasta. I just hope it is not fattening for them!

Well they eat it every day in their mix, and they aren't over weight lol It is odd. Despite almost identical conditions and food, some of my gerbils end up smallish; some medium; and some look like couch potatoes. More odd is that those in the same tank always end up aproximately the same size. (?). - - - - - - - - - BTW, check out the Gerbil photos I just posted in that forum of a marvelous recovery, and see the Parade photos in the Members Only forum. I think they are worth a look.
