I got a new hamster recently and I got my first picture! She...wait oh sorry HEE is a pearl dwarf.( I keep thnking Moshi is a she) As you can see im not so good at taking pictures

The more you take the better you get. Ever try a photo editor program AFTER you take the picture? I always use one to lighten, crop, etc. Does your camera have a "macro" setting to be used for closeups? I love photos when they look over the side of something!

Well I dont have macro but I can do close ups. He just moves to much

Use flash more. Maybe that'll help. Or catch him while eating.

Oh yes it is a japanese name. I waited to long to eat ceral so it got mushy so hey that made the name Moshi came out from my mind...LOL If you heard about me i know japanese

ummm....I cant answer you on that. Iv never been to Japan but Iv seen pictures of them and their hamster(which is mostly dwarfs)

He's very cute! I swear you have to take like 100 pictures just to get 1 or 2 good ones I have a whole bunch of pictures of blurry fur, and tails LOL

Probably half the photos I take I dump - but because the flash "burns out" the gerb, especially if light in color (too light). The trick is to have the gerb close against a medium grayish background - then the camera's meter is not fooled.

Oh Yes I take a picture almost every day and none of them are good :DMegs told me that it helps if you the mode to focas on the small object(the hamster) rather then the backround but still need to figure out how to do that

When the tiny flower is displayed on the display screen, (meant for small objects, such as flowers etc.), my hamster pictures come out so much better! Hope that helps

If taking closeups you must use the macro setting or equivalent.
