You know Lil Bit died recently. So, I am in the pet store checking on if they had any deformed or injured animals needing help. Nope. But, in the feeder bin for the damn snakes was this genetic oddity - a pretty tan fellow. I got him for a few bucks and he is in a 7.5 gallon tank running in his wheel. He also is a very lucky guy. I will give him a small water bottle hanging from the top in a few hours, replacing the little bowl. He needs a name. Anyone?

Give me a few more choices for names!
In the CT1 cage next to that tank I found a Spiny dead. I wrote about that several minutes ago elsewhere on RR. A shame - sudden and unexpected. I could move this mouse in there, but I would rather try to sex and locate some Spiny males who are bonded and put them in there.
He is running at top speed in the wheel in both photos, btw.

Hmmmm, just thinking out loud...on account of his colouring (as it appears to my eyes in these photos), and on account of his stunning good looks, I'm thinking of, like, a fox (hahah I wasn't even thinking "foxie", just a REAL fox). There's a fable about a fox named "Renard", so if it were me I might consider that.
For his propensity for speed, maybe named after a famour race horse or racecar driver.

Renard sounds a bit French, but it is good enough! I'll accept it.

ive you still taking names i have a couple simple ones
Nugai(new-gah-i) = long (for acount of the long tail) Or simply naming him mouse = mausu (mow-sue) Sorta sounds the same, cause thats where the word mouse came from lol.
if your going with just names here neji (neh-jee) kijo (key-joe)
Enough names for now. So glad you found him! his color is like sasukes. I miss him so.... good luck whatever you names going to be lol

I can always use new names - for other critters. Thanks.
I save all suggestions in a separate file.

If you haven't decided on a name, I like Cappucino.
