I am currently feeding wild squirrels with peanuts, acorns, and raw corn on the cob. I have a bird feeder with scratch marks on the top, too. LOL! Hrmmm.... But I have a bird feeder with a squirrel guard, so the birdies still get food. Anyway, it's so cute! One time my mom said she seen a squirrel running from our yard with a whole corn cob! LOL!

Oh yea! Now I remember your posts in Petshub on squirrels!
Use peanuts that are NOT roasted. It is better for them. I also leave out walnuts and filberts, but I never hand feed them as it habituates them to people - and that can be dangerous as lots of folks are not nice like me!
You saw my photos, I hope of local squirrels.
I will leave out more food starting in January as the winter gets bad.

Ya, they're raw. I have a whole bunch of food out for them.

I have a problem.
I spotted a squirrel with an overgrown lower incisor in a city park here in NYC. Know of any squirrel group people I can contact?

Maybe you could catch him and bring him to the vet. This is kind of random, but those city park squirrels are pretty friendly. I know that this could be dangerous, but in a park in Boston last weekend a squirrel walked up to me and I petted it!
