That walrus and eggman song were so dumb, if you all don't mind me saying that.

Oh no... not the Beatles! (My boyfriend is slightly obsessed and as much as I enjoy and respect their music and what they've done, I just don't get it) Besides... what does that have to do with voles?
What is a vole exactly? Other than that adorably funny looking animal in the picture... Which is cute in it's own weird way.

That walrus and eggman song were so dumb, if you all don't mind me saying that. It has been a classic by the Beatles for forty years. Every lyric in that song has specific and real symbolism which you can read about online.

Ha ha, I saw the picture, but what is it? Is it a wild animal, or are they pets? Or both? Is it one of those weird hybrid creatures? And I think it looks kind of like a beaver... only a lot different... but similar in a way.

>> it looks kind of like a beaver << Anyone know that several days ago it was Tony Dow's 63rd birthday?! Let's see if anyone understands that! ;D I think voles are sometimes kept as pets, but it is unusual at least. Anyone care to do a web search for "voles as pets" and report back? (Time is very short for me right now). They reminded me of moles. They are a distinct subfamily with lemmings and muskrats. There are 70 types of muskrat so I guess many look different. Do some research if you wish: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voles

Not to get off the vole thing, but I'm not saying the Beatles aren't great, I like them. I just think those two songs are dopey.
Back to the vole.....

Since someone claims to have got it, and we will take her word for it, Tony Dow starred as Wally in the classic TV sitcom, "Leave it to Beaver"! ;D

that was a good classic tv show! i liked all those old tv shows cause they didnt have alot of the bad stuff in them like some of these tv shows do today. i think that there is way too much sex, violence and profanity in the shows that are put on air these days.

"It seems today, that all you see, is violence in movies and sex on TV." theme song from...?
I barely watch TV anymore. Hrm, I wonder if Discovery Channel has ever done a segment on voles...

Check the Discovery Channel's site. I rarely watch sitcoms on TV (smarmy, sleazy, and stupid), and most dramas I am tired of too: the Law and Order stuff depresses me, and I think the forensic-type shows have run their course. I have seen all the autopsy body parts I need to see.

I almost never watch TV. The only thing I started watching fairly consistently was House M.D. I've always had a thing for medical shows--got that from Mom, who was a Marcus Welby fan (DF will remember him, I imagine). And then there was the drama called "Emergency!" Loved that too.
The breaches of ethics on House are over the top, but on balance it's interesting.
I am sure there are other interesting things on TV, but I have no time to seek them out.
