So sorry Tom.
It could have been a chest infection or Pneumonia. If it was a hemmorige the fluid would come out of her mouth as well as her nose.
Still, I know this wan't your fault, so don't feel guilty.

Well Izzy's babies are two weeks old now and I cleaned them out for the first time today since they were born. Sadly one has died and Izzy ate it but the rest are fine and growing fast! As you can see there all ace little dudes. I will be keeping all four of them. Kane

Izzy has always been known as a hard little moo, but today she showed her soft side after a persuasion with some plain bread sticks. How can that little face be so evil? Well trust me it is! Shes a softy softy really, or shes just easy! She loves me really. Izzy is just all noise really and shes not that evil. It's kind of a family joke that Izzy is the head of the family because no one has the bottle to argue with her. She looks lovely on this picture. Finally here Izzy's pups. You can only see 4 on this picture but shes actually had 5. What amazes me about dwarf pups is that they grow so fast. I will be keeping all of the pups as I am starting to go more into dwarf hamsters than Syrians. Lately my luck has been poor with my regular army. Kane

I have just found that Izzy and Morph have had babies. I know Izzy was pregnant but I had no idea when she was going to give birth. Shes had them in the outpost thing of there habitrail cage (it's actually two habitrail cages attached so theres plenty on room).
Morph is being a proper gentleham too. He's fetching food for Izzy and keeping the babies warm when Izzy leaves the next.
I am so proud as I have been having a really rough time with my Syrian hamsters. This makes it all seem worthwhile.
I will keep you updated on there progress.

I'm sorry but I am locking this as it could turn a little nasty.
As a trainee vet I can honestly say from the pictures of Tom's critters I have seen they are in A1 conditon.

It's not very often I post pictures of my dwarfs, but this picture I just had to share. Munch Dozing off - he looks like he's been on the beer! Here is little Munch, He has a nice cosy nest with Abe, he has a nest box which is all warm and snug, but no he has to fall asleep leaning up against his next box! the really funny thing is, as he was dozing off, he kept falling over, each time he put his little paw out to save himself but he still tried going to sleep there. He has now gone into the nest, silly little dwarf! Kane

I love the pic Kane! How did you fit a different water bottle? All I did Liz was remove the old waterbottle and brought a standard waterbottle with a little bit of plastic on the top with a hole in it. I hung the bottle up in the cage with a freezer bag tie. It works very well, best of all it don't leak! Kane

So far everything is ok. It's quite clear though Izzy is the boss. I guess she knows shes the Mom so she rules the roost!

I managed to take this picture of Izzy, Munch and Abe through the hole where the water bottle fits on the Mini Duna tank. I removed the bottle as it leaked like mad. Abe is having a drink, Izzy is in the middle and Munch is dozing off by her side. Looks cute doesn't it! Kane

I will get you a pic Tom when I clean my room abit, looks like a bomb has hit it at the moment lol.
Good progress this morning with Maggie, shes eating out my hand now, and responds to my voice when I walk in the room.
Lisa on the other hand I'm slightly concerned about, I don't think shes eating anything. She sits on the one shelf all day looking pretty scared. I have had her out, and shes fine out the cage, shes nosey and inquisitive.
I'm thinking shes just a little nervous of the new big cage.

Yeah there still in the box, I took a pic then save messing them about while there settling in.
Though I couldnt resist a cuddle tonight, Lisa is very inquisitive, but Maggie was a little shy.
