Aww, thanks so much. I kind of thought it over and will call the vet on the 23rd because I have to anyway to tell him if Chewie is better or not. So when I do that I can easily ask about the medication. I thought that would be better and Chewie is fine.

I figured someone on the AGS board might know, but I am STILL not sure if the stuff mentioned in the AGS post is the same stuff I found on the web!

I really don't think the vet would harm any hamsters, they are known for their info on them and they are not "exotic" like other vets think they are.
I will still ask about this TMS on the 23rd when I explain to him how Chewie's condition is. I've written it down to so I won't forget. So far Chewie is fine, still sneezing, but is fine.
Now if you all will excuse me, I have to give him his meds now and continue to study for my Lab test tomorrow.

Oh. Good luck on your Lab test.
What do you have to do on the test?

Thanks. Umm...we have to memorize: 5 Fed govt rules for Contamination on landfills, Intristic Rate of Increase, Rate of Extinction, Biodiversity Hotspot, and others. Yeah, so I'll still call the vet, don't worry. But as far as the vet is concerned, he is very nice (as they all are) and they would never give out a medication if it hadn't been tested before or if it hurt another hamster. I found two good websites about them (ignore the one comment that is bad). 1) www.insiderpages.com/b/37180594472) www.myvetonline.com/website/mapleshadeah/

I will say it again, I am asking what the stuff is! I am NOT criticizing your vet. I know nothing about TMS, at least for this purpose. Not good with ferrets, huh?!

Oh sorry. They are good with ferrets, I assume, but that person didn't think so.
Don't worry I'll still call on the 23rd, I have to anyway.

So how'd the exam go? Was it a final exam? Are you done with the semester or nearly so?
Once I get my 3" of grading done I'll be finished for the time being. But there's a project I need to start before the holidays for the spring term. Aargh. The work never stops! And that project will take up my "break" time in January too. BUT if it works out well (meaning if the powers that be like it and I get a new contract), it'll be worth it.

I got a C on my last test, so I'll get a C for the semester and my 3pts. I e-mailed him on my Lab test, I'll tell you what I got later. Yep, so I am finished with this semester! Thank goodness!!
Aw, poor you Robin! What's your project going to be about?

I went to Washington College in MD for a few days this past summer to attend a chemistry laboratory workshop--specifically to learn how to incorporate a different style of teaching into labs here. We took one of the labs we do here and rewrote it in the new style. It is an ideal lab for the style, since different students get different compounds to experiment on. Only problem is, the lab doesn't work as well as it should. There should be at least two different compounds for students to use, and right now only one of the ones we had been using really works well. So I have to figure out the problem before the first week of classes in January so that we can do the lab then. I will try different experimental conditions and different compounds. I am not looking for a perfect situation, just one that is better than what we have had. It's very frustrating to the students when they put in a lot of effort and in the end either they get back what they put in or get very little product. I have to get around both of those things. Thanks for asking! Hope the above makes some sense.

It did make sense when I read it slowly. Good luck on it!
