It was a year ago, Jan. 3rd, when I got Rainy from a pet store. there were no males in the tank and she didn't appear pregnant - but she was. Ten of her children (and two grandchildren) are still here. It will be their birthday on January 9th. I figured this would be a good time to remember the hamster who died that I miss most - Princess (see my avatar). I rescued her last March 2nd from a pet store where some despicable human abandoned her in her Critter Trail cage. We later had some nice times together, including saving her from near death with antibiotic treatment. Here is the link to the thread about her I already posted: PRINCESS IS GONE

It is always so hard losing a loved one, but I hope talking about it helps. I'm sorry for your loss!

Still missing her. It was just over a year ago, and I memorialized the event by finally having a mass burial in Green-wood Cemetery here in Brooklyn. (See separate thread, later). But not Princess; she is still in the fridge. Maybe later for her.
