Jan. 9th, 2003 - Dec. 31, 2004. She was the last of the "panda bear" Syrians of Rainy's litter. Only the famous Zeb, and his small and oh so quiet sister, Ebony, remain. Both are "black bears". Hypatia was sweet and curious and will be missed. Zeb remains active although the fur is a little thin and gray in places. Ebony I feel closer and closer too. She looks like she did a year ago, and was always the quietest, and smallest, of the bunch. Only the new guy, Dion, son of Cinnamon, is smaller than she is. They will celebrate their second birthday on January 9th, and I will take some new photos. Hypatia and her photo is memorialized RIGHT HERE

I'm so sorry to hear of another one crosing the Rainbow Bridge. As I've said in previous post I know you did what you could. I know how much you care and love your little ones. My deepest sympathies. Cognac

Thanks. When you have a lot you lose a lot. Thankfully, almost all deaths have been easy with no prolonged illness. The last one who did have such an illness, Makeeda, went to a vet who was so bad I filed formal charges against him with the government, but I have now found a good one. I related that whole story elsewhere in the forum. Hard to believe there are only two left. I remember when they were born like it was yesterday. I'm glad I kept them. In less than a week look for the photos of Zeb and his sister Ebony.
