I recently had a albino dwarf hamster name moshi. When i come home from school there he was layed there cold. I have no idea how but i found him laying on the ground breathing very hard so i put food and water next to him. I was very worried but i couldnt do anything. So when i came home from school there he was dead. I couldnt bring him to the vet as my parents say that he is just a hamster. I tried to see what was wrong. The only thing weird was i found a lump in the middle of his belly. Kinda like an orangy color. Does anyone know this But i tried my best but not good enough R. I. P Moshi my dear friend

So sorry. I've lost a few animals lately, and I need to update my Memorial Photo Gallery soon. Maybe a tumor? You could always call a good hamster vet and ask for a call back. Good vets will return calls (many care, and they want new customers), and maybe they might know. I doubt if there was anything you could do at that point; sometimes they go very quickly.

unforthiitly my parent wont even call a vet for a hamster. They think its so stupid. I would but dont kow the number or how much trouble ill get. But i guess since they are so small its life threating to even put antibiotices in the blood strem
Well good bye little moshi. Although I have to admit that you were very lazy

With parents like that maybe you should not get any more pets and just do volunteer work in a shelter.

i would but to young now. WE always bring out dogs and cats to the vet anytime but i have to agree that bringing a hamster would be almost useless. I cheaked al of the animal hostipals and vets but none of them have dealed with a hamster so...you get the point. Hamster die so quikly that there isnt much you can do anyway.
But i have been planing on being hamsterless for a while now

Aww, I'm so sorry. Rip Moshi. Every animal deserves to go to the vet, as big as horses to as tiny as hamsters. You should explain to your parents that hamsters are animals too and need caring for just as dogs/cats do. If you say, had a....lizard...and it was sick, wouldn't you take it to the vet? Or no cause it's small. Who cares, every animal on this planet needs caring. Watch some of the ASPCA/SPCA shows, they rescue all animals and give them vet care, even hamsters!

Oh, Hamwolf, I'm so sorry. Hope you will still stay on the forum even though you won't have a hamster. Moshi wasn't all that old, right?
I feel so badly for those of you with unsympathetic parents. There certainly seem to be a lot of you. One advantage of being an adult with a hamster: you don't have to convince anyone of the value of your pet. . .
RIP Moshi. And hugs to you, Hamwolf.

Aww... I'm so sorry!!! You talked a lot about Moshi on another forum so I'm assuming you thought of him (him, right?) a lot. I brought my Hamster to the vet. like Hamsters82 said, hamsters deserve to go to the vet, too. I know they can't do much, but they could do something... like if it was suffering, they could put it to sleep. I hope you don't think I'm harassing you about it, thats not my intention. Again, I'm really sorry. I went to your website to see Moshi. -Toot

Exactly. BTW, everyone makes mistakes. I am not saying you did. But we all have. I have. And I try to learn from them.
