Cadillac was born Jan. 21 2005 to Lexus and Chevrolet, she had two other sisters and two brother and was the only female of the litter who was a Pied Agouti. Cadillac lived with her mother and sisters for a while, and later on she would live with other gerbils, but Cadillac would decide to live a solitary life as she would not get along with her tanks mates for very long. This past week Cadi came down with a respiratory illness, she fought it like a trooper, and always took her medication with little fuss. She ate all her treats, and even had enough energy to chew down a cardboard tube. Baby Cadillac Cadi and her two sisters, Alero & Audi Dinner Time Littler Gerbil, big water bottle Cadi & her sisters all grown up And the picture that made her Famous.... Rest in Peace my sweet girl, may you meet your momma and poppa and your brother Jimmy at the bridge. Good Night Super Gerbil....

Aw, that is so sad I actually started to fill up a bit. May Cadi rest in peace. *hugs* And those are great pictures of her, the dinner time one is cute.

She would have been Three in Jan. which is a good old age for a gerbil. Cadi also suffered from seizures as a pup, so she probably wasn't one of the healthiest gerbils, Her older sister Porsche also died from a respritory infection (Hers was much worse) and she two suffered from Seizures.
I still have Alero, Audi & Dakota from that litter and all are healthy and very active. I won't ever breed gerbils again, but I am glad for the experience these little guys gave me.
