HAMSTER BABY PHOTOS!Too cute. Cinnamon, the mom, was a recent rescue, and she turned out to be an escape artist and gymnast. She got out, and before I caught her she spent just a little time with Prince - and that was all it took! I do not breed, of course, and every few years a surprise litter such as this occurs. I keep every one; always do. If you want to see what Prince looks like, go into the Memorial photo gallery I put in another thread of mine. In it, Princess looks just like Prince - a banded sable long hair. These babies are all apparently going to be long hairs, but of two varieties.

By the way - what's average number in a litter??
I hope she isn't - I would do the same though and keep them all... I am slightly excited about it though if she was... What do you think the chances are of her being pregnant? I can't imagine such little things doing that at that age!! they are only 8 weeks...
By the way long haired! they are the best! Indy is long haired and he is by far the cutest hammie we have!! ;D

We will tell you about that when it happens. Suffice it to say, if she starts making a nest out of the ripped up tissues you should leave around you may have babies coming. A typical size litter would be about 6-12, on rare occasions more. But, if she is a new mom she may not know what to do and will likely eat some of the babies.
I first got into various online forums when the late Rainy had a surprise litter on Jan. 9th, 2003. I received a lot of help, for which I am grateful.
