I feel like there is no point in trapping any at all until I get some 5.5 gallon tanks with mesh tops. How frustrating! I hope you can at least keep the females contained so you don't get any surprise litters in unknown places!! Sounds like those mice are just wild!!!

I hope there are no loose females about meeting up with a loose male! They seem to hide in different areas. I will keep the bedroom door closed at night though to keep them separate.

Fancy Mice with extra big ears!! That "stay" BIG LOL I've never heard of that. But I have confirmation from a breeder here, and a French website, there are now newly bred Abyssinian mice!!! With rosettes! Go to the GP forum if you want to see examples. That tan and white is a rather bossy dominant fellow who often chases others. See some other threads with photos of different fancy mice" red satin, chocolate satin, fuzzy lilac, etc. And all very tame.

I have a friend here in N.H. that Breeds very fancy Mice, she has the curly haired ones, even their whiskers are curly!! lol.....She also has what she calls Leopard Mice, lots of spots on those, I think she has Satin mice too.....I´m not much for keeping Mice myself, only as the males tend to have very strong odor, CUTE little buggers though, I like visiting them! LOL

The litters of fancies included both genders, so I have boys too. They mostly get along having been from the same litter.
Two fancy moms had litters about teo days apart. The pinkies were in different corners of the
Check some old Mice threads; I think I posted a whole series of photos of one group from birth to about three weeks.
I keep hearing noises in here. Can't figure if it is the critters in their habitats, or something that has gone "free range". Very vexing.

The tan/white ones are very cute. Are mice known as jumpers and escapees? What have you've named all of them?

No time to name them yet. But I will soon. At least the ones with the most striking colors.
They are very good escape artists and climbers. They have fingers and can climb upside down under a mesh screen like a spider looking for an escape route!
