So here they are! My new little girls!! Sprite: Scout: (only one of her for now, I only have her on the wheel, but it shows her markings very nicely) Scarlet: I'm so proud! Edit: By the way, if anyone is interested, that's purple Carefresh "Colours" - more expensive, but they didn't have the regular!! But I like how it looks in their habitat. I'll post a couple of pics of this in "Habitats" Stay tuned

If I had to pick one to take home I would not be able to do it! Just lovely, Megs! Congratulations!

Thanks Pinky!! I couldn't leave with any less than 3. They were all just too cute. Also, I picked three from the one particular litter, because it was larger. I think there were five, so I left 2. If I had chose from the other litter, in which there were four, (one was a beautiful opal), I would have left one on its own, and I just couldn't do it. So no one got left alone by picking these three. And they seem to get along well, other than some minor squabbles here and there. Nothing serious. Just a typical set of sisters

I was going to photo mine tonight but they were all asleep. Later. I love that color Carefresh. I have too many habitats to make it practicable though, financially. It is really more a deep lilac than purple. (Yes, there are colors of lilac rtanging from white to deep blue, but this is the most common color). The lilacs will be in bloom soon, and at the gardens it smells fabulous. Now, Sprite looks like Paxton, who you can see in my Memorial Gallery. I have never seen markings such as Scout's. And Scarlet has a gorgeous color. I have not seen that before either. They are all lovely. A little caveat: dwarfs are very susceptible to harm from mites, far more so than any oter rodent I have had. Keep an eye peeled for mites; look under toys, and under the tail area especially. Keep us posted. I love mine but they are no match for yours aesthetically. But they are very very tame.

I only hope I can get my girls to be half as tame as your little ones! I'll work with them everyday. Patience and perserverance this week will be crucial as they are maturing into adults very rapidly. Thanks for the suggestion about the mites. I will keep my eyes open and check for these regularly. I'm excited about seeing the pictures of all your Dwarfs soon. I still very much like the "Normal" Campbell's colour, even if they're hard to tell apart! My hamster magazine has the cutest picture of a Normal Campbell's on the back. I think I'll scan it next time I'm at school and post it. It's too cute. Scout was the first Mottled Normal Dwarf I've seen in that particular pet store, or any pet store in this area. I only know of two that even carry Campbell's. I'm so happy that Scarlet is a red-eyed Argente. It's been a long time since I've had a hamster with red eyes. I was sure they were red in the pet store. When I brought her home I thought they might actually be black, but after a couple of pics with a flash i realized they were in fact red! Sprite is just so white and fluffy. Yes she does look like Paxton. Those were three little cuties you had there. Sprite seems to be the most outgoing of the three at the moment and the most comfortable being held. I will be working a little more with all of them tonight. Taming time

Aww.. I think Sprite looks very innocent, Scout looks really energetic and Scarlet looks suspicious! Ha ha, they are such cute dwarfs [dwarves] I have one syrian, but I'm wanting to get a dwarf as well, the pet shop I bought Teddy from, carries ugly (no offense) dwarfs that don't look too happy so any sugestions?

Take them home and MAKE them happy. Why would they be happy in a pet store?
And I've never seen an ugly dwarf.
I can't post photos of mine as the photo site is changing servers. But soon. . .

I checked the Memorial Gallery and Jerry does resemble Scarlet, but he had red eyes - or ONE red eye most of the time he was here. I need to post the date of his death in the Gallery, btw.

I can't take them all home.. And they're not ugly but they are dirty, not groomed, they smell horibil!! And they are pretty fat [chubby] for dwarf hamsters! I saw one that was a big as Teddy

Here is a photo of Jerry: Pretty fellow. He ended up with one eye for months before he died. Don't know what happened. I posted all about this; Search if interested.

Aww...they're sooo cute!!! Are you sure that the purple Carefresh is safe? I thought I heard one time that anyone shouldn't get bedding that is dyed cause it's bad for the hamsters.

Hey Megs, Scarlet and Jerry - the same color? BTW, Jerry was named by the lady who was killed by the SUV, and her recently deceased lab dog was named Jerry.

Yes!!! Jerry and Scarlet are very close in colour!! Argente! Although Scarlet, even for a red-eyed argente.. seems to have very deep red eyes. It's almost hard to notice how red they really are until I take a picture. I'm so happy they're red though, because I havn't had a red-eyed hamster since Duffy - nearly 20 years ago now. So sorry about the loss of Jerry, and Mary, and Jerry the lab. All at peace now, and together About the purple Carefresh - the Carefresh company guarantees that the dyes used are completely safe and non-toxic. And Carefresh is a good company and I trust them completely. To be honest, I only bought it because they were out of the regular stuff! Otherwise, it's kind of expensive!
