I like the third picture you have. Ivory looks funny there. Oh yeah, a question if you don't mind: what are you clicker training them for?

I am clicker training them so they will come to the front of the cage and elsewhere when I want them. Intended to use it as a reward-found out though that they are responding to my voice and little squeaking noises quite well. I might forego the clicker idea after all. They are already coming to the bars of the cage wanting those little slices of almond I treat them with-when the cage door opens up they are ready to come out but want their treat as soon as they do. Once nestled in my quilt they will come out if I make the squeaking noise or call them by name. I don't think the clicker will be necessary-being a first time rat parent I read an article on it and it had an appeal to me but I am quickly finding out they are as responsive as a dog.

Rats respond as well as dogs, huh, I didn't know that. Thank you.

They have been said by many to respond like dogs, and bond to the human like dogs.
The clicker might have uses for intelligent tests, or other tricks.
When my cageload of guys hear my voice all ten of them end up pressed against the bars a foot off the floor of the cage, their noses sticking out of the bars. Thery await some sort of treat. Cute.

I kiss them all the time. This morning I woke up with a big furry thing sniffing my face - no, not an old gf; one of the female rats had gotten loose and came over to say hello.
