A few pictures of my 3 foster bunnies.... Here is their new Palace.... Suzy-Q comming out to say hi... Very curious Bunnies... The Digs... Spencer chewing on a box, I cannot get over how much Spencers character has changed since he's moved away from his brother. His brother always chased him and beat him up, all Spencer did was sit in a corner by himself, even eat by himself I thought he was a docile little man..... Boy was that wrong. Spencer is so sweet, so affectionet and curious just a real sweety pie. There's a bit of spraying going on, but NOTHING compared to before LOL Dinner time... I have a bald Belly!" The Three are doing very well, you'd never have known they underwent surgery, they sure don't act like it!

hehehe... i thought i was making a 'small' house for them I made the door big so I can fit right inside to clean it, so far it's working out great. Plus the bottom is so easy to whipe. I just finished also putting Laminate flooring in Bo & Ani's cage, so much easiier to whipe off them concrete for sure!

No, it's not small. It's a house fit for a bunny king/queen.

The big one, looks like coroplast and those whatchamacallits from Target. But you used something else to secure them (better I assume), and you have a top (made of what?). Could you tell us about that big palace? I ask all that as you may recall last Spring I made a coroplast GP habitat, but I was never really happy with how the grates were secured, and it had no top - a waste of vertical space. Plus it was too big. The bunnies are adorable.

Ok, the house is made of NIC (Nice Idea Cubes), there are different brand names, but pretty much they are storage cubes. The platic thingies they have to conect them are not good enough for pet cages, so we use Zap Straps, and i cut the ends off after they are tight. The top is still NIC's, the only thing I've done is put some aluminum rod down one side and along the front top part to make it more stable. Some people use wood, but i find the metal stronger and well easy to clean. Also, I have added shelving brackets to streangthen up the shelves/levels inside the cage, they are also just zap-strapped in. I have cardboard on the levels now, but will be putting carpet (which i will also secure down with zap-straps). When putting together the cage, i draw out a design, then lay out the peices on the ground, put together panels, then add all the panels together to form the cage. I find this is the easiest. Bo and Ani's little condo is done the same way. I actually tried to make them with the little plastic thingy-magigs it came with but the bunnies would end up bouncing around and making the house fall apart

NIC's. Zap Straps. Terms I have not heard before, but I might be able to find equivalents. I still have the coroplast and the "crate" sides - similar to NIC's - but need a better way to assemble them. >> The top is still NIC's, the only thing I've done is put some aluminum rod down one side << Ohhhhh. I wish I was more mechanically inclined, like you! >> When putting together the cage, i draw out a design, then lay out the peices on the ground, put together panels, then add all the panels together to form the cage. As for me, I didn't even know the right way to use an Allen wrench when taking apart my friend Susan's shelf!

LOL..... I say I'm not mechanical, but as in I cannot rebuild my own motor (yet), but i guess i am mechanical and can think that way pretty good too. I have my own tools and know how to use them, but my Dad was a handy man, and well so is my hubby who's a Mechanical Engineer so I'ma round it all the time. Zap Straps are also known and Cable Ties, you can pick them up at any hardware store for sure. I've even gotten them at the Dollar store and they come in different sizes. If I was close by I'd totally build one for you, they are fun
