So cute, I love the third picture the best. Bunnies are always cute and soft!

Bunnies are the most cuddly of all critters. Interesting toy in the first photo. I like the fourth photo best. I love it when they stretch out like that - so relaxed. My rabbit, Poppy, still prefers to hide when let loose. I guess if there were a lot fewer changes in this place he'd be more relaxed. but that is hard to do with so many rescues. Andrea, what are your thoughts about rabbits and cats? I know Whiz is protective of them. An animal expert told my cats leave rabbits alone, and that cats often get kicked around and are afraid of rabbits. I have even heard of big rats chasing cats.

I know you asked Andrea that question, but our neighbor's cat, Pickles, went after rabbits all the time. She even caught one, but we got it out of her mouth and let Patch go free again (what we named the wild bunny-although I'm guessing you mean domestic pets).

Well as for all different species relationships, i really think it really depends on the animals personalities. So far all the cat and rabbit relationships I hear the most about, are like u said, Cats affraid of the rabbit. Rabbits can be real brusers, so a cat would be smart to leave the bunny alone. I have one friend who's cat likes to be with the rabbits to eat the hay... but the bunny just wants to hump the poor kitty LOL Then my friend has a cat who would LOVE to get near the bunny, but he wants more of a toy or lunch I find ferrets and cats have about the same relationship with Rabbits,.. they will watch them, but they prefer to stay away. As for Whizz, she loves her cats, bunnies, degus, gerbils, rats, hamster.... just keep those 'dogs' away from her, she dosn't like them LOL I love the last picture of Sara also, I hope to one day get one of Spencer doing that on the heating vent. He LOVES the heat vent, he will flop over and roll on it a bit then just lay there totally relaxed and happy.

Well, I am not letting any interact, I am just curious. Susan told me that about cats and rabbits after I saw in August 2005 late at night two loose bunnies in a backyard being totally ignored by several cats. The bunnies later vanished, I assume rescued. They were not wild hares.

I was pretty protective a few days ago when I had Bo & Ani outside and saw a hawk fly over... The poor Hawk was trying to fly away from seagulls, but i didn't want to take any chances with my bunnies and put some laddice (sp?) over the top of the outside pen. We have a bunny in rescue right now named "Hawk", as he was picked up by one and then dropped, so people quickly picked him up and called SARS.
I'm sure my Cat Omar (Who lives with my Dad) would be scared of bunnies, and not want anything to do with them. He's terrified of dogs, so even if my allergies were not the case, he couldn't stay with us b/c of Whizz.

>> But the bunny just wants to hump the poor kitty LOL << LOL Get a phoito! I think in a cat's mind if a critter is too big it does not recognize it as prey - but as a potential threat. Not so? I am not sure any cat would want to mess with a big male rat. >> Whizz, she loves her cats, bunnies, degus, gerbils, rats, hamster.... just keep those 'dogs' away from her, she dosn't like them << LOL indeed! >> laddice (sp?) << You either mean lattice - or lettuce. ;D Funny about allergies. I have outgrown so many, inluding to cats!

Yes, well he still tried to 'dominate' his new bunny girlfriend when he first met her, but that is normal. What's funny is i have had my bunnies almost a year (well the boys) and not once had I ever seen any of my bunnies hump one another, but i read all about this behaviour in rabbits. Well just a couple days ago I had Bo and Ani outside on the lawn in their pen and they were flying around the cage dancing and having fun, when Bo got alittle out of controle and bumped right into Ani. Well she jumped on HIm and started humping him, Bo didn't knwo what was going on, and I was laughing my butt off! I have 3 males rabbits, the only one i have seen hump now is my Female!

I have 3 males rabbits, the only one i have seen hump now is my Female! << I have actually seen my male GP Sam, a very calm sweet guy, hump Poppy the rabbit, another male. Inter-species sex! Of course gerbils do it for dominance also, and that results in many newbies asking if they are homosexuals.
