Unless over weight, most bunbuns are pretty bony I know mine are but they are at an ideal weight. I guess greyhound bony is the closest description I can think of. The breed of rabbit also quite a bit to do with it also, some were bred to be more for food than as pets. Cognac I wanted to say I didn't know that. How bony they should be I have no idea. Some rabbit experts have told me she is a Palomino mix. (?). So what is appropriate I can only guesstimate.

She's pretty! Is she on the thin side? What about changing it slightly to Poppy? She probably would not know the difference. I was just looking over this thread and the photos for the first time in months, and I had forgotten "Poppy" was your idea! Well, thanks for that.

Actually that is a really good sized cage for a cavy. As cavies need a BIG space, with their housing, and such, put in the middle so they have something of a "track" to run around in. www.caviecages.com also shows what I'm talking about. Awesome cage btw, it could be used for rats as well lol

My GPs keep pushing their wooden log-house thing sideways blocking their "track"! I try to keep it lengthwise. I didn't think GPs could handle ramps, and there are three levels to that cage - which I found abandoned in the apartment house store room. I find a lot of god stiff abandoned, including many aquarium tanks, almost new VCRs, a new Walkman (they must have got an I-Pod at the same time!), etc. Oh. Lily the GP last night had a bleeding paw! Left front. Their was like a cut 3-4mm's long on the bottom back of the paw, and it bled much more than I expected. I still have GP blood on my pants. She was a very good patient as I turned her over, trimmed her nails (in case that was a cause; they were a little long), cleaned the paw, applied antibiotic ointment, and then stopped the bleeding and protected the injury with three coats of Nu-Skin liquid, each coat drying before the next was applied. Her white fur was shocking red and pink at the end of this, but today the fur is almost all clean and the paw OK. I do not know how it happened. Could her friend, Chip, have nipped her?
