Taken today. Here she is poking around one of my barbells next to my old trumpet case: Does she need to lose weight? This is my favorite photo of her - very regal!

She's very pretty! Is she still pooping on your floor?

I don't know. She discovers hiding places during her explorations I never knew existed! One of these days I will move some boxes and furniture and see a pile of dried poop and pee! One time she ended up on top of a 20 gallon tank, and I don't even know how she got up there! But she could not figure out how to get down, and I had to give her some assistance as she was stranded. I also think she likes being around me, but not like a dog; she seems to stay in my vicinity, following me to other rooms, but then she does her thing exploring stuff. Oh, the reason she is poking around that stuff in the first photo is it led underneath the sofa, where she disappeared for hours - why I blocked off her entrance with that heavy stuff. She does look kind of pissed!

What a cutie, I expect to see her in a few Sundays I want my chocolate, hehehehehehe. I don't think she needs to lose weight, I think she still looks healthy. Cognac

She really has a tendency to sneak up on me when she is out the cage! Curious, or lonely. Who knows. She gnaws nothing outside the cage, btw.

But her female hormones have not kicked in yet - then she will be a terror, no doubt! ;D That reminds me. . . I once on another site responded to a post that asked, "Do female hamsters get cranky and irritable when in heat?". I retorted, ever the wiseguy, "No, you're thinking of human females!". ;D (Kane will remember that one). It got a few people pissed, but most conceded the veracity of the statement.

Very cute bun!
My uncle is a rabbit breeder, so I do all his rabbit pedigrees and help out every once in a while. I could tell if your rabbit was any New Zealand or Californian rabbit in a matter of seconds. Poppy doesn't look much like a Californian or a New Zealand, but she could be one...
I'll have to look at some rabbit breeds, I'll let you know what I think she is soon!

Okay, this is exactly what I thought, and I had a rabbit expert who is a good friend of mine clarify. She's probably a mixed with a palamino background.

Yep. I always figured a Palamino/Rex mix. Sounds right?
She must be about five months old. Can you tell?
When do her female hormones kick in? She'll start getting moody; she'll tell me she doesn't want me around but really wants a hug, that sort of thing! ;D

I'm not sure when females get really hormonal. I'm not a breeder or an owner, so I'll ask my uncle next time I see him.

DF, 6 monthes is about when the hormones kick in. Or so I have been told I got both of my bunbuns at the 1 and 1 1/2 year mark. They were both spayed/neutered before I could take them home. Cognac

dosergirl,
So what else does she do besides that with the hormones?
BTW, I worry about Sukie. I can only hope for the best.
