I like the tongue! Looks like you did hit the orchids - that appears to be Rockefeller Plaza!

It certainly does look like Rockefeller Plaza, one of my favorite places during Christmas, Something everyone should see in person.

There were actually two of them, along with a baby chick. Rockefeller Center always has something fun.

More? I guess I will be schlepping on by there this week searching for topiary! Yea, I have to carry the old digi cam everywhere for the next month as everything us starting to bloom! Tuesday I zip through the Brooklyn Botanic Gardens which has a fabulous and very rare yellow (huge) magnolia tree. And then the NYBG, Central Park, and of course Green-Wood Cemetery (for those who have never been it is will be at its resplendent peak in about ten days!).

I didn't realize the yellow ones were considered rare. My parents planted a small one a few years ago that finally bloomed for the first time last year. They're quite lovely, though I've still haven't gotten used to the Northeast's version of magnolias. I always think of them as huge white flowers, surrounded by thick, waxy leaves.

Well, I meant rare in the sense that the only one I ever saw was at the BBG. Let me check my NYBG archives. . .
No, I can't find any from past years.
So, all I can say is I never saw one on a city street, near a house, or anyplace else. So, go figure.
I will post photos of my most recent sojourn to the BBG later tonight.
