Well we're home.... Mittens and Ebony are two holland lop bunnies around 4 years. Both bunnies are very friendly, and well mannered they enjoy pets and even though I was told they don't like being picked up, they were much better then some of my own bunnies when i picked them up. Mittens has the slightest of a head tilt (hardly noticable) as she had an ear infection last year. She is grey and super tiny. Her coat has a strange feel to it, like she has a course outter hair, and i can feel her spine when petting her. Ebony is black and a bit larger. She seems it be the trouble maker of the two, as she had an adventure getting down the heat ducts today. Her bad back leg dosn't stop her from getting around, nor does it seem to cause her any pain. What worries me is the bad dry skin she has on the side with the bad leg where she is shedding quite a bit. Once they are settled in I will give her a brushing, right now I'm just letting them have a quiet evening, as it's been a big day for them. Here are some pictures...

Aww, so cute! Is there a favorite type of rabbit that you like, Andrea?

I like rex bunnies myself. Ryan has a soft spot for lop bunnies. Hopefully they are healthy enough to go in for their spay soon. I will have Ebony's teeth done at the same time if possible.

Charming photos of lovely bunnies! What kind of bun is my Poppy? Someone once told me he's a Rex-Lionhead mix.

I'm not to great with rabbit breeds, but i would say a rex cross as he has the body/shape/head of a rex bunny just not the fur. If you look at little Spencer my male foster, he is a rex cross and he too is a stunning bunny.

Where can I find a photo of Spencer?
You have a bunny site or gallery?

Ah ha! Thanks! I have kissed and petted Poppy so much I am surprised he still has fur! I see what you mean about the Rex. I need to research "Lionheads" next. . . Thanks.

I posted Poppies picture on the SARSBC board asking what everyone thinks he is. So I will tell you what people say.
I don't think he's lionhead, someone mentioned that may be in Ani's mix. I'm pretty sure she's a Holland Lop cross, and she looks just like a holland lop without the lopped ears LOL

Well, thanks, and please let me know. I have had no time to research "Lionhead" - too busy with Dog Show photos of which I have 250+.

With all the bunnies you guys have, you should begin your own "Watership Down" adventure. I just thought of the book looking at so many cute bunnies!

I wish I could find "Watership Down" on tape or DVD. I ought to check at Amazon or E-bay. It was on TV ages ago, and I taped it on Beta, but that cassette is in deep storage. I also have the book.
