My sister has a maroon-bellied conure (about the same size as your SC). He does like to lick skin, but I'm not sure even my brother-in-law (his favorite human) would risk a painful loss of lip by going tongue-to-tongue with Blackbeard! Bet you wanted to take that feathered friend home, after all the love you got!

Not even at 10% interest?? BTW, They live around 25 years. At 500 dollars per, that is only ten dollars a year! Too bad I can't pay by the year.

25 years isn't 'that' bad, compaired to some. I could never own an animal that lives longer then me, i would feel aweful knowing i would leave it behind. My dog get's upset if i leave her for an hour, couldn't imagine forever!

I was listening to Warren Eckstein's national pet show on radio Saturday. www.warreneckstein.comHe specifically refered to pet trust funds and other legal arrangements that can be made with lawyers to guarantee your pets' safety after you check out. It would include care, someone responsible, and money. NO ONE knows when they will cash in their chips, or when circumstances FORCE them to give up their pets. Make arrangements way ahead of time.

FYI, the sun conure was adopted (at $500) just five days after being put on display. A man got it for his elderly mother whose lovebird was biting. We told them if they don't want the lovebird we can get it adopted.
