I've got 2 Habitrails, one Space Station and one Safari. I can't put any of those tubes and things onto the cage because the pet store never has any!!(well I actually can put tubes it's that they don't have observitory things or the other things you attach)

I have far too many observatories -- four, right now, all but one gathering dust in the closet.
It's not that I want so many, but they seem to come with everything -- two I picked up with a bunch of other gear at a consignment shop, and the others came with habitats I bought.

you got stuff at a consignment shop...lucky you. the only hamster stuff i ever seem to find are terrible cages that i wouldn't put hamster inif i were desperate.
would like more pic's of everyone's set ups. I remember one of the first times i logged into a board there were pics of Puck's castle up and it gave me ideas for Lola's abode at the time...

Poor Puck doesn't live there anymore, since a mouse kept getting in there with him. He's now in a 20 gallon tank. There's apparently a problem with mice in my apartment building, and I don't want to take any chances.

Only mouse I ever had running free in an apartment was when I was living in Lexington -- the roommates and I left live traps out, but stopped when it started snowing outside -- figured the mouse probably had a family and we'd just take precautions so it couldn't do any real damage. It moved out when the weather warmed.

would like more pic's of everyone's set ups. Done and done, in the Habitat forum. Interesting how a mouse could squeeze into Puck's castle. Man, that's a tight squeeze. I once tried to carry my twenty gallon tank home a mile from the pet store! I forgot how heavy glass is, and had to call a car service; I did manage to carry the 15 gallon, although my fingers almost fell off. I once related how I had a mouse in here years ago. He ended up somehow trapped in the toaster oven and was looking out at me. Very cute. I ended up late one night taking the whole thing outside to the backyard and releasing him.

Most rodents are capable of squeezing into tight places, but I think mice are almost ferret-like in their ability to slip into seeminly impossible places.

Think of how big a mouse looks to you, then mentally subtract the fluff and fur. They can be really tiny under all that!

Mice with all rodents, it there w=head can fit they can, granted for some reason hammies seem to have trouble knowing this, getting stuck in those tubes and all. Ling Ling was the largest hamster I've ever seen and she could go through the tubes. You would ba amazed at what a rat can go through. Cognac

Wow, a lot of people here hate the CT's. I really like them, I used the Classic for my dwarves. And now with my syrian I have #'s 1&2. For me their easy to put together & take apart. I have to agree with Kane though I hate the CT3...its too big. It broke on me one day when I was cleaning her home & I was so mad I threw something & it broke. I had to pick up the pieces in our kitchen, never again will I get a CT3. Its just CT #'s 1&2 for me!

Think of how big a mouse looks to you, then mentally subtract the fluff and fur. They can be really tiny under all that! I related once when I washed Phil. he looked half the size wet! If they can get their heads in, everything else follows - although last night Maggie had pouched so very much she got seriously stuck in the tube leading from her CT2 petting zone. I drenched her in olive oil and slid her out. Just kidding. I started rubbing her protruding tucchus and she backed up looking distressed. I put her in the lower level where she disgorged her hoard.

Good save -- if she's like mine, she might have forgotten she could back up!

Hammies do some funny things. Mine do know how to back up. It's still funny watching them, "I need to back up because I forgot........." Cognac
