How do you house your ham(s)?
I have given Havix the run of a SAM modular unit and a tube down into a 10-gallon tank that she gets all to herself.
She spends most of her time in the little hut down in the tank -- even retreats there to eat, after gathering her food from the very highest perches in the SAM unit.

Calvin resides in the Habitrail Space Station. He has three modular attachments and a series of tubes connecting everything together. At the moment he has the penthouse location - well outside kitten leaping range.

Pee Pee is spoilt, he has 2 habitrail homes, a crittertrail classic and a crittertrail 1, and another crittertrail 1 on it's way [supposedly]. I think I'm addicted to buying more stuff for him, I just want him to have a nice big place to romp about in I bought the habitrail from ebay and it was described really badly [they said it was nearly new when it was chewed to hell] and the woman was really horrible about it and wouldn't let me send it back and get my money back. It looks like it's pretty damn old and it'll be replaced as soon as I can afford to, but it does the job for now. If the link is working there's a pic of Pee Pee's Empire here : www.geocities.com/narcolepticfreak/102_0296.JPGRasputin: would it be possible to see a pic of a 10 gallon tank? I have no idea about tank sizes and would like to know how big it is. Failing that the dimensions would be good

poppy and sasha each have a Habitrail Space Station, each with one attachment. Digweed is in his Habitrail Mini when i had Lola she was in both space stations. i'm not a big fan of the SAM kits...i just sold the last of my 4 on ebay, same for the crittertrail.

Sophie has a CT1 & a CT2 connected to each other. She doesn't use her tubes much, so I try to take her out everyday to run in her ball (which she loves) and to hold her (also she loves that). I like buying her toys, but figured out, she doesn't pay much attention to them...oh well!

I will have to finally take a few photos later tonight of two of the large bins. I have 10, plus Zeb is in a 15 gallon tank (for security reasons, lest he escape and start impregnating again); Boudicca and her nephew Stanley are in Space Stations, each with three add ons (outpost, observatory, and explorer); Maggie is in Princess' (RIP) old CT2 cage.
Some of the bins are rather complex.
The gerbs are all in tanks, of course.

Cognac: What do you hate about Crittertrail? I have habitrail and Crittertrail and prefer the Crittertrail, as it's made out of a stronger plastic and is harder for Pee Pee to chew through [he likes chewing *everything* I swear he thinks he's a gerbil! ]

I have had both and i hate the crittertrail i think they are cheaply made, mine was always coming apart....i slowly phased out my other cages (mostly selling them on ebay or donating to rescued hamsters)

With all my army, I have quite a verirty of cages. The worse cage I have is a CT3, this a pain to clean and badly made. The best cages I have are the Ferplast mini Duna and the standard 3 tier cage with solid levels. I will take some pictures if you like?

I have a ferplast duna and my hamster hates it I find the crittertrail easy to put together and very easy to clean I would really like to see a picture of a 10 gallon tank, as I'd like a rough idea how big my gerb tank is

I would really like to see a picture of a 10 gallon tank, as I'd like a rough idea how big my gerb tank is I'll finally photo some of my tanks/bins later and post them ASAP. Look for them. As for habitats, Zenobia once broke out of a Habitrail explorer, a famous story I have related several times. Hypatia, who replaced her in it eventually couldn't use the tubes very well as she got too big. The biggest difference I have no addons for my CT2, which came with Princess (RIP) as I have no room, although I will look into it soon and reevaluate. Also about Habitrail, I fear the Space Station wheels might be too small to be comfortably used, and there isn't much I can do about that except hope they get their exercise when in the play bins or when switched temporarily with another ham and can use the big Comfort Wheels, 8.5".

A ten gallon tank has a MINIMUM amount of space for two gerbils. I'll post more, new, photos soon. But here are some oldies but goodies: This is what my 20 gallon tank looks like: Note, I have three separate corrugated cardboard levels in there. They also have tubes including steel tubes from hardware stores they cannot gnaw. Although PVC pipe is extremely hard, they did manage to gnaw it, but stopped after I gave them enough heavy cardboard and wooden stuff to chew. The PVC has been mostly replaced by steel tubes by now, anyway. With the top on, and the wheel, and wooden chews, hanging from the screen. An old heavy Civil War pistol is holding down the wheel from the outside! The girls: By keeping wooden cubes in the corners we can held dissuade them from digging in those corners.

That reminds me, DF - I'll have to take some photos of a tank with a musical saw on top.

I have no idea if you're serious or not; knowing you (such as I do), I would assume the former. ;D How about a gerb dancing on the blade of one of my samurai swords? Samurai Sam. More photos soon enough. . . We do await an .mp3 of you and the saw. Of course, if you can't master it musically you can always use it to help build a new wooden habitat.
