Police in Flesburg, Germany received an emergency call from a woman whose hamster had become stuck in her printer. The woman explained that Teddy the hamster had crawled into the printer but being on the chubby side, had been unable to crawl out. She had tried calling her vet, who advised her that it was a case for a printer technician instead. Police were skeptical but did send an officer to investigate. He arrived to discover that Teddy had managed to get out on his own.

How sweet! Calling the police over something like this is adorable. I love this story

Why did the woman have her hamster roam around her printer in the first place? That story was a little strange, but I'm glad someone came out to help the poor guy.

On the TV series "Cops" we have seen a number of animal-related incidents, everything from alligators to bats to owls. Only once did I see an animal harmed by a cop, when some dim-wit gutless sgt. clubbed a snake to death. Why his bosses allowed that to make it to the program I don't know, but that is surely rare. Thankfully.
