Those Siberian Tigers are soo awesome & beautiful!! I'm really hoping though that that is the trainer in that one photo with the tiger!!!? And that enclosure looks nice for them! Do they ever have any Bengal Tigers there?

>> Tiger Enrichment Sessions (Tiger Mountain) Join the keepers as the offer the tigers different fun items and activities to explore. From food to toys to intriguing scents, or even tiger training, you can hear keepers discuss their work with these big cats and also have a chance to ask them questions of your own <<
Make a point to see it then; otherwise, the tigers will likely be sleeping somewhere, or nowhere close.
How could you tell they are Siberians?
No, not Bengals. Zoos used to like to have "one of everything"; the Bronx Zoo even had orangutans. But now they prefer big and better exhibits, such as Congo Habitat for the gorillas; they don't even have chimps anymore. It is better this way.

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright In the forest of the night, What immortal hand or eye Could frame thy fearful symmetry? In what distant deeps or skies Burnt the fire of thine eyes? On what wings dare he aspire? What the hand dare seize the fire?
And what shoulder and what art Could twist the sinews of thy heart? And, when thy heart began to beat, What dread hand and what dread feet?
What the hammer? What the chain? In what furnace was thy brain? What the anvil? what dread grasp Dare its deadly terrors clasp?
When the stars threw down their spears, And water'd heaven with their tears, Did He smile His work to see? Did He who made the lamb make thee? Tyger! Tyger! burning bright In the forests of the night, What immortal hand or eye Dare frame thy fearful symmetry?
~ William Blake ~ 1757 - 1827

Siberian Tigers are much larger then the Bengals & their heads are huger. I think the Bengals have lighter colors too then their conterparts.
Let me see if I can get a pic of the two of them & I'll come back & post them. I mean unless you already know the difference between the two.

Aww...I hope you feel better. Thanks anyhow, I'm not a fan of pot-bellied pigs.

Those tigers are absolutly adorable. I can't wait til spring so I can go to the zoo in Buffalo. Cognac Is it closed in December?? Although In Buffalo there is so much snow. . . www.buffalozoo.orgWhen I went ot the Bronx Zoo three weeks ago, in part to see the gorgeous Autumn foliage, there had been a sudden cold spell. But I had to go as it was a bright sunny day and the next day was heavy overcast and the leaves were blowing off, etc. Anyway, the gorillas were inside (so I saw only a few of them), and I did not see Rapunzel the Sumatran Rhino at all, nor the cheetahs. All inside. Of course the Butterfly Zone was long closed. I see the Buffalo Zoo has hyenas, which the Bronz Zoo does not. The Central Park Zoo, is small, but well done, as is the one in Brooklyn; other boroughs too. they used to be manageries, but are now wildlife centers with maybe one big animal (polar bears at the Central Park Zoo) and the rest small critters.

I think the zoo is closed for the winter. Thanks for that link. I love the zoo. It's me favorite place to go. I love aquariums too, Boston has a pretty neat aquarium. Watertown I guess has a small zoo as well. I'll have to check it out. Cognac
