Forwarded from another group: Here in central New York, there is an old Army depot. They fenced the grounds in years ago, and since that time its been used as a wildlife preserve, especially for the deer. You see, there are white deer there. They aren't albinos....they have brown eyes....and not all are white. If you'd like to see what I mean, go to: www.senecawhitedeer .org They're now in trouble. A company is trying to buy the land they're on to grow willow bark and grasses to use for an alternative fuel. There are farms with acres of fallow land that could do this, but the company wants that land. On Saturday, there will be a radio interview by Raleigh, who some of you know, and the head of the Seneca white deer project. You can find it by going to www.familyradio. org and checking the air times for 'For The Record.' Please, if you have the time, check it out? I'd be ever so grateful. We're trying to get the word out to save these beautiful creatures, but we need help...word- of-mouth help.

These are very striking deer!
So some business wants to plant corn for ethanol, from what I can gather. Hope that everyone can meet in the middle and that the deer don't lose.

Aww, poor deer. I hope those people win and the other people don't get the land. Let them look elsewhere I say.
