Da**ed Air Canada (how is it this crappy company persists??!!) no longer allows pets AT ALL on their flights -- they have to go on a SEPARATE cargo plane!!! "Canada's no-fly list just got a bit furrier. Air Canada announced yesterday that as of July 15, it will no longer accept pets as checked luggage for domestic flights and, pending approval from the Canadian Transportation Agency, for U.S. and international ones as well. However, pets can still travel through its cargo division via its AC Live Product service...." Wow--that's horrible! Pets deserve much more consideration than an oversized box or Samsonite suitcase!

So, organize a boycott. Any company such as that needs to go under - or is this a socialistic state-sponsored airline where some government bureaucrat made this decision, instead of a private company responsible to the public?

Well yes and no...if my adled memory serves, it MAY have been state owned at one time. It isn't now, but for some reason THEY seem to be able to loosen the government purse strings to get bail out after bail out....not many businesses can say THAT Their service is SO abyssmal I won't use them, and I cringe when someone tells me they will be flying AC. Their flight staff are the butt of endless jokes and illwill....I've never heard ANYTHING good ever said of them. Part of their staying power may be chaulked up to the places they fly, but I"m not sure. I DO know they ain't cheap!

It could be the death knell for them unless the public CAN influence them.....dog shows all over the place are apparently fizzling on account of it...I imagine there are other shows that this will affect, too.
Not to mention people moving, travelling etc...it's just not right and WHAT a big headache!!!! How many trips might one have to make to the airport per trip?? L.

They fly to unusual places in the far north no one else wants to? That sounds like government subsidy stuff.
