Well Chewie needed a follow up for his tooth. So we took him to the vet and didn't wait long at all. A nice vet came in and he said the tooth is fine and won't grow any more because it's down to a nub. Chewie still gets baby food though and he gained a gram! But now to the serious part. My poor baby boy has a head cold. I heard him sneezing and asked my friends and saw on the internet that sneezing is bad. So he'll be getting favorful medicine for ten days, mornings and evenings. And I heard he can have plain yogurt, so he'll be getting some tomorrow. Then I'm supposed to wait five days and if the sneezing continues, I call the vet. If the sneezing went away, then Chewie's head cold is gone. I'm glad we went to the vet today and he was extremly nice and everyone said Chewie was so good and cute! So tonight Chewie gets his medicine. And I hope and pray it works.

Baytril? Chlor-Palm? I assume it is an antibiotic.
Keep him warm, and best wishes.

Hope Chewie feels better soon! Fuzz eats plain yogurt, so hopefully he will too.

Thanks guys. Oohh...Chewie was picky! Did not even attempt to try his medicine, so I put it on my finger and kind of pushed it into his mouth so he had to lick it. Tomorrow I'm going to try to put it on a spoon and see if he laps it up that way or put it on some of his food.
Yes, it's an antibotic and he's in a cozy spot. His medicine is called: TMS. The vet didn't spell it out, but 48mg are in there and we only give him a small amount. Anyone know what TMS stands for?

When I had to give Baytril to Pinky for his prostate problem the vet gave me a syringe with no needle to use. I was giving him something like 0.1 mL (about 2 drops)--I just put the tip in his mouth, and he kind of chewed on the end of the syringe to take it up as I depressed the plunger.

So they will chew on the syringe? That's good, thanks for that!

Maybe he means a different "TMS". Because our vet cares about animals and he said if that doesn't work, we would put Chewie on something else.
I will still look up the medicine and most of those websites you gave were talking about Rabbits or Amphibians. But it does make me wonder.
Thanks.

I use syringes for giving meds to, but when some of the animals more prone to chew the platic end, i use and eye dropper, it also works well fro feeding small baby rodents.
Glad to hear his teeth adn doing well, hope he's feeling better soon with the cold.

>> Maybe he means a different "TMS". << If he does you have no idea what he is giving Chewie. Please find out as I have no idea what the stuff is, or if it is the "TMS" described above by me why it is being used.

I'll call Monday when I'm finished my Enviro. Science test, that way I can get them early in the morning. Even if I get a machine I can still leave my number and they can get back to me.
How's that?
