Well I went to an Aquarium Discount store yesterday with Sara and Mike (from Paws) to buy some animal things there. In the back room I finally saw some mice and thought "if mice are there, then so are hamsters." Well I saw something I didn't like and the animals there were housed in cramped quarters and didn't look like they were well taken after. It tugged at my heart and then I got angry at the employees who did this. Needless to say I will never go back there again.
But do you think if I wrote into these people asking them to change their ways that they would? Can one voice be heard or drowned?
Thanks.

We have gone over issues such as this so very many times, here and elsewhere, that if not for today's TORNADO in my neighborhood I would right now make it a sticky thread: what to do if your pet store, or one you see, has inferior conditions. What you do NOT do is walk away and say you will never go there again.
As I said, a tornado roared through my neighborhood today, as anyone who follows the national news already knows. So I will make that sticky thread when I can. I have much to do now in terms of mails to people and collecting photos online and links and stories, etc. Until then, as an assignment, write down what options you think you have, YOU being the animals' voice.

I only wrote that today because this was my first time ever seeing something like that. You all have seen it, I haven't.

There is now a sticky thread at the top of every forum regarding BAD PET STORES and what to do about them.
I have no time to add more at the moment.
