This was posted on another forum a few weeks ago--I just noticed it yesterday under For Sale/Trade/Adoption:
Hi, All. We have two lovely male hamsters in search of homes. The hamsters are currently at the ASPCA and came to us via Humane Law Enforcement, after being abandoned in the trash. They have received outstanding medical care in the Bergh Memorial Animal Hospital and they are now ready to find their "forever homes." They are being housed separately, and the cream-colored guy gets a little nippy at times, so we recommend an adult-only household for him.
For more information please call the ASPCA Adoption Center, (212) 876-7700 ext.4120 or 4119. We are located at 424 East 92 Street in New York City.

I'm glad the ASPCA is caring for more than dogs and cats!
