Chewie is running out of food, the hard food that is. I don't give him any, save the millets. I like giving him the millets as he still get something nutrional out of it. Before this Friday, I will be buying his bedding at PetsMart. So my question is should I get a small bag for Chewie to still give him the millets? Or should I not get him the food? Thanks all!

I was at Lowe's yesterday to buy birdseed and I noticed that there was a bag of what looked to have a lot of millet in it--it was billed as a no-mess blend (no hulls). Using that would sure beat having to pick millet out of a mix. DF, what do you think about this?

Uh. . . why not just buy a BAG OF MILLET SPRAY??
Not that lots of millet is all the healthy. Give him some peas sometimes.

He gets peas from his baby food. And a spray, eh, I'd rather get the bag of food. So, yes or no, Tom?
And it's not really that hard Robin to get the millets out of the food bag. So you think I should Robin?

Oh, I thought....nevermind. Do they sell them in pet stores though? And, to me, that doesn't look safe to just pry them off and give them to a hamster.

Yes, they sell them in pet stores. This is standard food for birds and small mammals. My mice and rats love them especially; I don't usually give it to hams as there seems no point and I want them to eat harder stuff for their teeth. Pull one off and throw a single spray in Chewie's place and let's see what happens. Now I shall "spray" myself with some of that Drakkar Noir you don't want on any mails!

No, private joke. This is MILLET SPRAY, and it does not come in a can and you do not spray it on animals!

That's for birds though. I don't want to mix anything like giving a hamster bird food. Robin--I once told Tom that I don't like the smell of strong cologons (sp-ugh). That's why he just put that.

It is NOT just for birds. It is not "bird food". It is millet - and rodents usually love it.

"cologons"!! LMBO Calgon was was a women's bubble bath. Cologne - named after the German city which is named after the Roman outpost there on the Rhine River two thousand years ago - Colonia.
