Canadian pet food manufacturer Menu Foods, blamed for the deaths of dozens of cats and dogs in North America, has set up a 24-million-dollar settlement fund to deal with a slew of US legal suits. Many relevant links here: www.menufoods.com/recall/Hope they go out of business. With all the wheat in Canada, they had to buy some cheap junk from China. I wouldn't use their stuff if it was free.

yes i remember what this situation caused and how it affected millions of pet owners around the world. i was living in Indiana at the time and i promptly stopped buying wet foods for all my cats and the ex's dog . that was a very bad thing that happened and soon i read later online that dry pet foods were being closely watched as well. i also hope that they go out of business and that all the pet owners get something for their losses !

The article at the top of this thread references a 24 million dollar fund for pet owners who lost pets. How much each one gets remains unclear.
No more food from China! I won't even buy herbs from there any more, and I used to take lots of ginseng and ginko biloba. But no more; I do not know what is really in it!
