Today I checked on the parakeets, and Breena was there on the bottom, dead. She seemed fine a day or two ago when I saw her in the tank moving about; she seemed OK the last time I handled her several days ago. Her sister, Tana, is fine. As with so many deaths, we will never know. Breena was the white one. She was always calmer than Tana who bites--why I liked handling Breena more. They were rescues having distorted and deformed feet, which is why they live in a tank as they can really perch. That is also why I likely will not get Tana a friend as it would not be fair to a normal bird. Not so? I will update my Memorial Gallery in my signature soon, and advise you of that when it happens.

By the way, I will buy Tana more mirrors so she feels she has company.
If truth be told, they never seemed all that close, sometimes squabbling with Tana being the aggressor.
Oh yes, no wounds or anything else was found on Breena.

You worried that there'd be a third death, and there was. . .
RIP Breena (I like the name--origin?).
Did I ever mention that I have a cousin named Tana??

Forget the origins, strangely. I may have checked a bird names site and just found them, maybe. No, you never did. I suppose Tana will be alright alone. . .

You seriously think I have time for that? I still have not put up a thread on my visit to the Queens Zoo, and I have to do all the Pow Wow photos. I have very little time for anything anymore. Now I am checking E-Bay for a printer I need. Go have fun reading the old threads. Wish you expressed some condolences for poor Breena. BTW, most of the animals I have here were rescued--that is why I have them. The keets had deformed feet and could not perch so had to live in a tank. Tana is OK so far.
