Haflinger and Fjord! I had no idea. Every now and then they would run around and kick for fun with their back legs, and then come up close and pose.

Doesn't that sight just make's you go *aaaaaaaawwhh* .. They are so Adorable.. I stopped riding about 2 years ago, but my last lease-horse was an 18 year old fjord-mare named Dana. And the other onces were named: Blakken, Norbet, Sioux, Whisper, Dragnar & Billy. The haflingers were: Brent, honigtau, Trudy, Nobody, Blessie & Wigdo. And there are more, but I can't remember all of them anymore I Still have a Horseshoe complete with nails that was once on Dana's Hoof, and a lock of her hair

Aw, that's neat that you still have something from the horse you rode. I just have memories and one picture. I used to take horse back riding lessons and a co-worker of mine gave me three free lessons on her QH. Can't wait for that! Those are neat horse names, but poor Nobody. He should have a better name.

Nobody's name was actually more a joke...He had a big attitude, allways thought he was the most important foal in the whole world, so they started calling him Nobody and the name stayed...as did the big ego The lady I "worked" for last year, the one with all those Arabians once asked me: Do you know why Vikings used to ride Fjord-horses to battlefield? I offcourse answered "no"...she said: Because You'll be really pissed off when you finally get there ;D Because they are soo stubborn, It's very frustrating. If you ask a Fjord to go right, he'll go left just to annoy you They only do something when you tell them to do it. Dana once "wedged" me between her butt and the wall of the stable...she wouldn't step away, she just took a glance over her shoulder and than started eating :/ I also love that beard on a fjord, and that beautiful black stripe..Especially when the mane is cut those big brown eyes & velvet-soft lips..They're just fabulous

>> If you ask a Fjord to go right, he'll go left just to annoy you <<
Then if you want to go left tell him to go right! ;D
Lovely horses. That last one was the one who every now and then all of a sudden started kicking in excitement or for exercise and just ran around for the hell of it. The others did not, but they seemed to often follow.

The Fjord foal is cute and that's funny that a Fjord will do that; haven't had that happen, but I did tear myself off a horse once. Not doing that again. Oh okay, I get why you called him Nobody. Yes, the black strip down their mane is very pretty and unique. I don't think other horses have that right? Except maybe the Przewalski horse? Yes, Tom I had horseback riding lessons before. And will take some again when my co-worker and I are free. Her horse's name is Skippy. Someone start a Cutest Equine Foal contest! ^Here's a cutie: www.agdirect.com/_Picture/_Medium/1185907558.jpgI've gotten to really love the breed, a Gypsy Vanner Horse. >> the Przewalski horse? <<
I really need to take a digi photo of the print photo I took several years ago at the Bronx Zoo and post it. Those are the kind found on cave paintings.
You know your foals better than me. . . so you pick 'em. The first one has long legs, although that may be an illusion based on the coloring. I like the palomino's tail.

Gypsy vanner..We call those "Tinkers" I love them..I used to ride one named Happy, Very cute animal, he only did one speed and that wasn't fast at all ;D It's one of my favourite breeds, he's defenitly in my top 5 About the stripe; There are more breeds that have them, not even all Fjords have one..The color "gulblakk" doesn't have a stripe. And it's not allways black 3 or 4 of the Arabians at te stables I worked also had a Stripe down the spine...Duval(The stallion) had one, and allmost all his foals had one, even the greys. Foals of an arabian aren't that pretty at all in their first few weeks...it's all legs This is cute too: www.culmvalleyminiatures.co.uk/Images/FoalL.jpgShetland foal pagesperso-orange.fr/Sherpa-Rhone-Alpes/image_115.jpgAlso on my top 5 of favourite horses, The French Cheval de Mérens My top 5 breeds at the moment: 1 Fjord 2 Belgian Horse 3 Cheval de Mérens 4 Tinker/Gypsy vanner 5 Clydesdale
