I got her April 12, 2006. See this thread:
THIS IS A LINK
That is a very very sad photo for me in that thread - white Jennifer (who died that date way too soon) and her two gorgeous sons, Sam and Leslie. Dying way before his time was Leslie - the worst death I ever had here. They were extremely tame and born her Labor Day 2005.
As you can read there, she died suddenly. And then I got Jessica. Please refresh if this does not show up; it may be a host site issue.
So Jessica was likely only three years old. As of a day ago, Jessica, living for a few years with Ophelia, a rescue from a very bad environment, was fine. She seemed totally normal. I think she was last night when I gave them carrots, but I am not certain. This morning I noticed one GP house was empty so I lifted up the second one to get them to spread out and not be cramped. . .
. . . Jessica was lying dead and motionless, and still a little soft.
Ophelia is fine and perky, so there was nothing in the environment or food that could have been problematic.
Jessica showed no symptoms before, and after the only thing I noticed was a little poop on the butt.
So, it was a shock. Depressing. You never know when you will go.
As happened to my friend, Jerry, last June, who just did not wake up one morning.
Ophelia will live alone, unless I find a GP who really needs rescue.
Next week I will have a mass burial at the cemetery.
I just posted a photo of Jessica in the Memorial Gallery (see sig).
Very fortuitous was that while looking for a Jessica photo I finally found one of Adrienne! I don't think I ever posted about her. She was found in a city park in the Spring of 2006, dumped by some rotten people, by a friend who runs a local pet store, and she was given to me as a rescue. She was dirty and had some bugs, but I did what I could. Sadly, she died the next day. At least we tried.
As I just found her photo; I added her to the top of the Memorial Gallery. Now she is better remembered.
Adrienne:
RIP to you both.
