(cross posted with permission of the author, from the Small Animal Rescue Society. She tells me this info is not on the Lush website yet: www.lush.ca It's an international company, www.lush.com, that makes vegetarian toiletries, with no animal testing)Local to Vancouver, Canada. I wasn't sure if this is "news", but I wasn't sure where else to put it... "I got a call from LUSH cosmetics yesterday....apparently this woman met one of our volunteers at the Fort wine event. Whoever that was - good job! She took the information back with her and their charity committee has decided they would like to help us out. They will be giving us $2000 PLUS (and this is the best part) - our logo and info about us will go onto their labels & packaging at 140 stores across the country. I think that is what she said....but they are also an international company with stores all over the world. www.lush.ca/about/The info is here www.lush.ca/about/charity-pot/How cool is that?? ;D They will be featured in all the stores. And they do NOT test on animals nor do they use ingredients tested on animals - yay!!"

Do you have any list of companies that still DO test on animals??
>> With the proceeds, LUSH donates to carefully selected charities around the world that support animal rights, environmental protection and humanitarian concerns. <<
Any specific groups they contribute to? Oh yea! There it is, right under that where it says "Our Partners". They seem reputable enough!
>> Help Us Find New Partners to Fund
If you know of an environmental, human rights or animal welfare group that might be a perfect fit for LUSH, email us at charitypot@lush.com. <<
Anyone with ideas?

Honestly I'm not exactly sure, I haven't talked to her in awhile. She posts on the SARS forum, but it's usually to answer a question. I think she's been crazy busy, 'cuz she's not even on there very often.

I guess that's it. She was very distracted last time I heard from her.
I wish her bunnies, and Whizz, the best. The dog's condition was another distraction for her. Whizz has a web site somewhere. I should try to find it.
